Mehrgol Tiv ~ مهرگل

pronouns: she/her

Mehrgol (pronounced mare • goal) is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at the University of Pittsburgh and a Research Scientist at the Learning Research Development Center. She earned her PhD in Experimental Psychology at McGill University and previously worked as a scientist at the U.S. Census Bureau. Her research is driven by interdisciplinary computational methods and social-ecological perspectives on cognition. Mehrgol has worked with the United Nations, National Science Policy Network (NSPN), American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), and Humanity in Action. She is a taurus.

Lab Manager

Kay Costantino

pronouns: he/him

Kay is the lab manager of the Cognition in Context lab at the University of Pittsburgh. He is a recent graduate from Pitt with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology. His research interests are in social cognition, specifically, how people perceive others based on their identities and how identity relates to perceptions of broader social inequality. He is a Pittsburgh native and enjoys exploring the city on runs in his free time.

    Anna Milone is a Sophomore Undergraduate Student at the University of Pittsburgh majoring in Psychology and minoring in social work. She is interested in fields of cognitive and organizational psychology and hopes to earn her PsyD in the future. Anna is also involved in her sorority's executive board, volunteers at the Stress Free Zone on campus, and will be joining Psi Chi Honor Society this Spring.
